The Art of Tidy

Clean is good; clean and tidy is so much better!

How does tidying work when looking for enlightenment and purpose in life? We’ve talked so much about the tangibles, and we are all tired of talking about ‘clutter’.  What’s the point?

Clean is good! One more stage to tidy, put away and wipe down surfaces.

I’m going to define ‘clutter’ as something out-of-balance. It can have layers and layers of discarded items, not necessarily all garbage.
‘Clutter’ can show up in the form of too much of anything.

  • Bulk buying and no where to store the items.
  • Too many books/dolls/trolls/collections to fit into a space.
  • Broken or damaged items that are waiting to be fixed/repainted/etc.
  • Seasonal items that have been forgotten.
  • Clothing that is no longer in circulation.
  • Makeup and toiletries that will get used again, ‘someday’.

You get the drift.

The energy of holding onto ‘stuck items’ for whatever reason can bring down your vibration. That’s ‘why’ it’s suggested to tidy up all-the-time. If you neglect to tidy-up, this dis-order all begins to grow into overwhelm at a rapid pace!

Even the military insist that all troops make their beds in the morning. Why?
So, they have ‘some sense of order’ to begin the day!

Imagine waking up to a sea of chaos: a full basket of laundry, the closet door won’t close anymore and the socks you wore yesterday are trying to crawl under the bed.

Is that going to motivate you to BE the best you can BE?

Spring has SPRUNG: The perfect time to plan a time to ‘sort things out’ is now! You’ll need ‘some sense of order’ for you to curb the chatter of imbalance every day.

YES, sorting, tidying and purging as-you-go is a great habit to begin ‘making sense of your space’. I‘m sure many of these items mentioned above can have another life, on another shelf, in another space. Let’s move these extra things along.

You may notice that a ‘clean space’ shines a lot brighter, raising the vibration. (Also notice that dust-bunnies can sure bring the vibe down.)

Embrace a fresh space. Anything that doesn’t have a home, needs to be assessed.
And, be realistic with your purchases.

Life can be better when LESS is MORE!

Enjoy the journey!

Warmth, Kathryn
