This was the ‘garden feature’ for the party!
Stop the Madness …the short version
It was only a few years ago that we were dealing with our own renovation.
It was a complicated ordeal dealing with dry rot and removal of our east wall; then to rebuild the kitchen, two bathrooms and the upper deck.

When the year of continuous disruptions had past, the frame- of- mind was ‘enough is enough’.
Stop the madness, have a party! I ordered a few flats of food from a caterer and set the day to STOP the activities! We invited the neighbours and a few acquaintances at the boating club.
Then, we invited everyone that had listened to us grumble. The kitchen tile had just gone in the day before, fresh paint on
the ceiling, the patio wasn’t very inviting …and the bathroom on the 2nd floor was still not in use. Oh well…
That party was the best thing for our moral! Twenty seven people came to bring best wishes! We were new in town and I really didn’t know who would show up.
They brought wine, flowers and they brought fantastic energy with them. I can’t tell you how much we needed this positive injection into our home.
That fantastic energy stayed in our house for a long time. We celebrated progress, validation
and support, from new friends in the community. Wow!
People and energy…the results are unlimited!
It has been many years since that party and I still remember it as the BPE! (Best Party Ever!)
For many people, just the act of ‘showing up’ is SUCH a blessing of support.
