Bless the MESS

Bless the Mess? Really?

Almost every morning, I ring my singing bell. Actually, I have three singing bowls.  One is a high-pitched one to help clear and reset an area. Another, a low pitched one for cultivating calmness, and a third that has ‘the looks’, but doesn’t resonate like I want. So, perhaps I should move that one along …

Like many others, I am spending too much time at home these days, isolated from my connections and knowing that no one is coming over. Therefore, my subconscious is telling me to by-pass the regular tidying.

Trying to work between dirty dishes and laundry; doesn’t always help to raise my chi-energy or vibration.

If I have a goal, such as, helping people live in harmony to stay sane in these crazy times… then I need to maintain my level of sanity to help others.

First things, first: Let’s look at the abundance in your home and everything you’ve chosen to bring into your life!

Let’s try to reframe this for a minute:

Yes, it can seem to be ‘too much’ at times.

Yes, this can be overwhelming.

And yes, you did this to yourself!

Instead of resenting the disruption of living, the sorting and clean-up,

BLESS THE MESS in everything you do!

You see, the need for fulfilment, the joy of making a decision, the feeling of a NEW soft sweater are all good things! They are required to cultivate positive acknowledgment and self care. It’s ALL GOOD! You have free-will to do all these things!

The problem with embracing material items, well… is when things get out of hand:

  • Too many books for the shelves.
  • Too many clothes and not enough hangers.
  • Too many unfinished projects on the go.
  • Habits of not tidying up as you go.

The solution? Before you hibernate for the next few months, let’s tackle a drawer – one of your own personal drawers.

  • Empty the whole thing out and sort what goes, what stays, and designate what to do with the rest. (Some drawers have not been dumped in years; you know this.)
  • Then, do it again the next day, and the next. Start with your own stuff.
  • And then, initiate a shift with one of the common areas.
  • Don’t tackle your spouse or kids stuff without permission. (trust me on this.)

If you don’t get permission to ‘help’ others with their stuff, the timing isn’t right. Just let them notice your freedom and good spirits; their time will come.

While you are adjusting the space you may notice, life does get easier; a bit lighter. You’ll know where everything is and everything around you will be in its place! No more wasting time looking for things!

When things shift – Crazy things can happen!

I use my singing bell in the mornings to feel the vibration, feel gratitude for what I see around me and ponder what the day will bring. If I stay open to opportunities, I can keep the space clear and my vibration high! I can be more positive for more people.

One of my Relatives had this sign up in the kitchen for YEARS:

‘Thank God for dirty dishes as they have a tale to tell.

By this stack of evidence, we are eating rather well.”

Throughout the day, despite the mess:

Whaaat? – We are all in charge of raising the next generation.

  • Somebody has to manage and delegate in the kitchen.
  • Somebody needs to coordinate the garbage run.
  • Somebody determine a day for laundry and cleanup.
  • Somebody needs to vacuum regularity.

(That ‘somebody’ might as well be me, because I am the best person for the job.) But actually, it’s also my job to teach the next generation to Bless their Mess and turn their ‘blessings’ into a lifelong process of choosing; how to find fulfillment through their journey in life.

We are all in charge of raising the next generation. By delegating chores and responsibilities, we can create an awareness. They too, can learn to make choices that affect the rest of their lives.

~ Who ‘s up for the challenge this week?

Warmth, Kathryn
