Charlie Brown Visits Macy’s for the Holidays!
It has been 50 years since the animated version of ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ burst into television! It was in full colour and I remember it all! I was seven years old and mesmerized! WOW! No one then realized it would become a classic; an icon to promote ‘peace and good will towards men’. I love that Linus was the scholar in the story.
I was able to catch the amazing window displays in Macy’s NYC last week! The windows were brightly decorated, the animation was delightful and a narrator read the story over the intercom…. Yes, the whole scene had the ability to stop the shoppers in their tracks!
